Viano

Sarah has joined together with pianist and organist Jonathan Watts to form the duo Viano. They can be booked through Divertimento to play for any events and can also be booked to provide concerts. Although Divertimento Entertainments is based in Devon, Sarah and Jonathan are able to travel, and so are available no matter where you may be (please note that expenses will be required for longer journeys).
What better way to create the perfect setting for your wedding than to have romantic music played by violin and piano. They can play at the ceremony, be it in a church, registry office or other venue (they can provide an electronic piano if there is none available). In church they can provide organ and violin and then they can play at your reception for drinks, canapés or even the meal.
Do you have a party at home planned and want to wow and impress your friends? How about violin and piano duo (again an electronic piano can be provided if you don’t have one). How much better than a cd to have live musicians and unlike a larger group Viano don’t take up much space!

Rosewood String Quartet

Sarah has been playing with the Rosewood string quartet for several years now, having originally come in to deputise for a member who was unavailable for a gig and then ended up staying! The Rosewood string quartet is one of the South West’s leading string quartets, much in demand for weddings and other functions. They have a very broad repertoire, the envy of other quartets and are always willing to try new pieces as well. The Rosewood String Quartet can be booked through Divertimento to play for any event or concert in the South West, UK.

Ten Tors Orchestra

Sarah is a founding member of the Ten Tors Orchestra The Ten Tors is a chamber orchestra of 31 professional players. A 17-piece string ensemble plus flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, horns, trumpets, percussion and harpsichord. On some occasions the orchestra is just 15 players - often that is as many as a small church venue can accommodate and on occasion it can extend to perhaps 50 players according to the demands of a particular event.You can find out more about the orchestra on their web site as well as a diary of upcoming events.

Freelancing

Sarah is much in demand as a freelance orchestral musician and chamber musician. Above are some of the regular groups she plays with but she can be booked to play across the South of England. Living in Surrey but also having a home in Devon and family in Kent Sarah is not unused to travelling. Sarah has frequently been asked to step in at the last minute both in orchestral situations and for chamber groups, especially string quartets. Her ability to fit in and fill that gap with utter professionalism stands her in good stead. Her vast experience means that she can always be relied upon.
