About

Sarah started playing the violin at the age of 7 and was one of the first young musicians to gain a scholarship from the Kent Music School. She went on to study both violin and viola at Trinity College of Music in London where she was awarded numerous prizes including The John Barbirolli Prize for String Quartet Playing, The Leonard Smith Prize for Violin and Piano, The Alfred Gibson Memorial Prize and came joint first in The Sophie Langdon Competition for a Classical Concerto.

Sarah has made a name for herself as both an orchestral and chamber musician. Having moved around the South of England she has freelanced with a variety of professional orchestras including the Bournemouth Sinfonietta, The Mantovani Orchestra, The Cornish Sinfonia,The Ten Tors Orchestra, and Taunton Sinfonietta which she guest directs. She has also travelled the world playing chamber music on cruise ships and in concerts across the South of England.

Sarah has now settled in Surrey where she continues with her performing whilst also teaching and running a music arranging business. Sarah is passionate about music and is a versatile performer. Her utter professionalism stands her in good stead and her vast experience and particular skill for fitting in at the last minute means that she can always be relied upon. Sarah has worked in both the classical and pop worlds and is equally at home in both.
